The Show is up!

Hi All!

Jack and Andrew hung the show Progression of the North American Diet at the MHAA Dali Museum in Monterey last week. It looks amazing! Jack’s work is surrounded, or hugged, by gouache dragons and Spanish knights. This is Jack’s first collection on display and we couldn’t be more thrilled. As Jack’s wife and fledgling media director I am so proud of how well it all came together. I’m also terrified that someone will touch one of the wet paintings. Seriously! Jack was touching up the edge of the table on the Quick Snack painting as we were setting up the snacks for the opening reception.

The reception was lovely with several family and friends in attendance plus several who saw the Facebook postings and others who wandered in as museum patrons. Thank you so much to Andrew Jackson for your help setting up the show. If I had come with the kids, we surely would have smeared the twinkie right off the canvas. I wonder if the smell of the oil paint fills the room as the volatiles escape and the color sets. It’s a volatile twinkie.

The show is on display upstairs, first room on the left. Please go and see it, and then also enjoy all of the great works of Dali on display. Jack’s work will come down the first of January 2020, so don’t delay! The paintings are all up for sale through the museum. We just heard that the Hamburger is on reserve now for $3500! If an original is not for you, grab a print from our web shop. If you want a specific size that isn’t listed just let us know. We would be happy to customize it for you.

That’s all for now. Have a beautiful day and a wonderful holiday. Hugs.

Maxine
