There are more than a few temporary villages that have sprung up throughout America, and Portland is no exception. Mostly along highways because the Man has red tape to get through before sweeping those areas. These are small communities of people who've been disenfranchised from the larger community for many different reasons. They come together to support each other. Many of the people living here see this as their safest option available. I refuse to accept this as the best we can do. This is a complex, multifaceted problem. We will need lots of creative solutions coming from many different points of view to make life better. If you have any ideas, please share them with your local representatives. If that’s not possible, please share with me, and I will do my best to get ALL ideas to the appropriate legislators.

If you would like to pick up the painting in person, please send us an email to make arrangements jack@jackwrayartist.com. We are based in Portland, OR, and travel to Monterey, CA frequently.
Jack’s paintings often have beautiful texture that add to the depth of the image. This is achieved by building up paint through the creative process. Generally, paintings are dry to the touch at 3 weeks, and are suitable to ship at this point. Full curing of the painting can take as long as one year. Please allow for up to 4 weeks to deliver commissioned or new paintings, and always reach out by email with any questions or needs.
The Small Details
Color nuances as they appear on your screen can vary from what we see with our eyes in person. If you are unsure about the colors, we will be happy to send more photos or closeups. Please be sure the painting is right for you before purchasing. Paintings are sold as is, and not “upon approval”. If a painting is damaged during shipping, we will work with you to make it right.
