Wishing you health and connection

Wishing you health and connection during this time of feasting and mourning. There are words to say and actions to take to care for our neighbors, neighborhoods, and world community. We hope that you find something in the natural world that grows your connection to the beauty of all people, the soil and everything in between.

Jack and I have been working to reclaim knowledge from our ancestors in the form of reading Native American tales at bedtime with our kids, foraging for wild foods in our yard and local public lands, and fermenting the harvest of our family members' farm excess. In the same spirit, we have used reclaimed doug fir dimensional lumber to frame the Douglas Fir 100 Days project. You can see some of the old nail holes, crystalized sap, and beautiful close vertical grain (CVG) that is uncommon now. This series of tree paintings shows off the same tree in a wide variety of styles to suit everyone and every interior (think gifts).

For a limited time I can make a few more frames in time for holiday gifts. So be sure to order your tree painting before December 5th if you need it framed.

New on our website are Holiday cards with Doug fir (of course!) and our Christmas Cow. Happy to package them up for you and get them in the mail in time for your holiday card writing. We have prints available of many of the paintings from other collections that also make great gifts to bring the beauty of the natural world into your office or home space.

May you be joyful and find natural connections. Thank you for connecting with us.
